Estphia Mining and Geotechnical specialise in supporting mining operations with their site based geotechnical requirements. We have engineers experienced in both underground and open pit operations, available for short to long-term site based secondments. We pride ourselves on our ability to seamlessly transition into your team to provide support.

Our engineers have experience in designing, implementing and monitoring ground support systems. We have experience in employing numerical modelling, empirical design practice and observational guidance when designing ground support systems, and monitoring their performance through QA/QC programs.

Our engineers have extensive experience in the geotechnical review of underground production sequences and development design. We can produce high quality stopes notes, panel notes, backfill notes and development design reviews either on site or remotely. 

We can provide geotechnical review and guidance relating to short, medium and long term mining plans. We have experience combining geotechnical observations, empirical assessment and numerical modelling  to make recommendations and report on geotechnical considerations relating to mine planning and scheduling. 

Our engineers have experience in the technical design and operational management of a range of mining backfill methods, such as cemented paste fill (CPF), cemented hydraulic fill (CHF), cemented rock fill (CRF), cemented aggregate fill (CAF) and loose rock fill. 

Our engineers have extensive experience in designing and maintaining monitoring programs in both the underground and open pit setting. Applications in open pit include the use of slope stability radar, ATS prism monitoring, extensometers and piezometers. Underground monitoring applications include convergence monitoring, laser scan analysis, extensometers and phogogrammetry applications. 

Estphia Mining and Geotechnical have engineers experienced in a variety of numerical modelling applications and software packages. We can perform numerical modelling for a range of scenarios to feed into your mine planning and risk management framework.

Our engineers can conduct technical and operational based reviews on site. We are also experienced in delivering training packages to mine site personnel, relating to general ground awareness, ground support installation, as well as training to technical personnel. 

Estphia Mining and Geotechnical are experienced in formulating and reviewing site based documentation and procedures. We can compile and review overarching documents such as Ground Control Management Plans and Principal Hazard Management Plans. We can also compile and review Standard Work Instructions and Procedures for a variety of technical and operational requirements.
